TCG cards need their own identification
Trading card games include many sets, languages and printings. Pokémon and other TCG collections should be reviewed by exact card and version. A character name or attractive foil finish alone is not enough to select a market comparison.
Details that help us identify a card
Photograph the card number, set symbol, language and any special marking clearly. For graded cards, include the complete label. Different editions and printings can have different demand, so a visually similar online listing may not be comparable to the card in your binder.
Condition is more than the front image
Check both sides without bending or rubbing the card. Edge whitening, surface scratches, dents and creases may matter even when the artwork looks clean. Sleeves can create glare that hides defects in photos. PSA’s published grading standards are a useful introduction to condition factors, although a photo review is not a professional grade.
Keep sealed items sealed
If you have sealed boxes, packs or collection products, photograph all sides and any damage to the wrapping. Do not open them simply to prepare for a buying review. Packaging condition and authenticity are part of the evaluation, and opened products must be assessed differently.
Prepare a binder or bulk collection
Keep valuable singles protected and preserve the current order of binders. Give us an approximate total and identify any sets or key cards you already know about. Bulk cards and individually desirable singles do not necessarily share the same buying basis. Ask how each part of the collection contributes to the offer.
